   Dear Anthony, thank you for such kind words about me. Dina & Maricel are really great actresses din naman, no doubt about those. They have created a mark in our industry making them icons even far greater that I did.

   In answer to your second blog (question), today we start our shooting on “Bente”. I potray as Sen. Jinggoy Estrada’s wife (Laura) and this is a star-studded (indie) film with Goma, etc., directed by Mel Chonglo. Then on Monday we have a conference on the next movie “Dukot” by Director Joel Lamangan co-starred with Emilio Garcia, Gina Alajar, Felix Rocco, Allen Dizon & Iza Calsado - I was told shooting starts on May. Then in June, my own movie, “Familia Sagrado” starts shooting, per schedule.

   Hi. I just wanted to clarify that you won best actress in Cebu Archdiocese Mass Media Awards in 1994 for “Koronang Itim”. I am very certain about it because I have read it over in Sun Star Cebu.Were you able to get your trophy or plaque?

   You truly deserved the award in that movie because you performed excellently.

   congratulations for winning the star awards for best supporting actress!! i wasnt aware of the film “paupahan” it is a shame i failed to see it. is there any way i can watch it?

   for me your best performance is in inagaw mo ….. u got so much control with your acting. ang galing!!!

   may ibubuga ka pa so please shine even brighter by doing more films. maybe it is time to make movies that will leave a mark to our society.

   maybe u can star and produce ur own indie film someday. how about the role of a mangkukulam? not just the horror side of it but the persona of a mangkukulam. her feelings, her dreams, her frustrations, her life. this can be interesting and pretty challenging. provide a good support and marketing m sure kikita ito.

   Hi Raymund! Good question - as that was a long time ago, I don’t think I was able to get anything from the Cebu Archdiocese Mas Media Awards. Do you think it’s too late to ask for it? I really don’t mind flying-in to Cebu just to get it. Do you think it’s weird doing it?

   Hi Alec! My manager told me that both “Paupahan” and “Selda” where Emilio Garcia won the Best Actor category (2nd time in a row), are now available at Astrovision. Sorry I don’t really know where they are exactly.

   Producing? I don’t know. Who knows? Makukulam’s role is not bad - although I still have to find a good scriptwriter. I’ll give that a good thinking. Keep those wonderful ideas coming Alec!

   i have been your avid fan long before pa! I even cried everytime nakakarinig ako ng bad news, hate ko talaga yung iba na namimintas sa iyo. There was even a time I saw one actress na inaway ka before, deadma lang ako forever sa kanya habang nagdarapa ang iba sa pa picture hahahahaha ! hapi na talaga ako sa yo ngaun, I cried when na feature ka sa jessica soho report, naghihirap ka na daw. Grabe and pray ko at umiyak umiyak pa talaga ako, natatawa nga mga ate ko dahil baliw daw ako! Thank God, you are ok now! Please keep it up! Hapi ako, u won best supporting actress!

    Glad to find out you have your own website… keep this up… And Congratulations… Paki update yung list kasi may bago ka ng award… hehe… You’re one of the best actresses of Philippine Cinema… Dadami pa yan… at sana makagawa ka ulit ng Lead role like nung mga Koronang itim, blusang itim etc. God Bless you… I am a fan… I am also a vilmanian like you… hehe

    Hi Cookie, yes i’m glad that you’re back in showbiz with movies lining up for release, there were times in the past that I missed you. I even envied sharon & maricel who were both active in showbiz then and still active up to now. I hope to see you soon in either Primetime Bida or Telebabad. God bless you and more power.

    The WARMEST greetings only to my admired actress and one of the most remarkable icons ever graced Phil. showbiz, Snooky. Pwede bang Kookie na lang po ang itawag ko sayo?

    To begin with, fan mo po talaga ako eversince. my first time ever to go to a movie house was when i’m only a Grade-6 student, and that was for the blockbuster “BLUSANG ITIM”. Now i’m 36. But still, Jessa continued to haunt me ’til now. I guess that was your BEST portrayal ever! Then the rest was history…i also went out to watch “MADONNA, ANG BABAING AHAS”, “KAPAG NAPAGOD ANG PUSO” (you really were amazing there), “ABOT HANGGANG SUKDULAN” (galit na galit ako ke Ricky Davao sa pelikulang yan, hahaha!), “KORONANG ITIM”, “INAGAW MO ANG LAHAT SA AKIN” (no offense meant to Maricelians, but your star shone brighter over the diamond’s in that movie), and the list goes on.

    Medyo huminto na ako ng panonood ng sine nung mag-lay low ka na sa paggawa ng solo movies. I believe you deserve a comeback SOLO MOVIE…yung ikaw lang ang bida, tulad ng mga solo starrers mo noon sa Regal. Honestly, disappointed ako pag nakikita kong smorgasbords ang mga ginagawa mong movies, especially now sa mga Indie films. But still, i am thankful dahil nasa limelight ka na uli.

    Disappointed din ako dahil ang mga classic films mo ay di man lang nire-release sa VCDs/DVDs…buti mayroon akong “Blusang Itim”, “Koronang Itim”, at “Abot Hanggang Sukdulan” VCDs. Sana ma-release na din yung iba.

    Well, God is good He gave me these awards - the Famas was really and truly unexpected because I thought Isabelle Rivas will get it - kasi nga nakita nyo naman ang attire ko, I didn’t even dress for it - so businesslike. Sorry kung pangit. Anyway, I give all the Glory to our Creator in Heaven. Siya nagbigay niyan, siya din ang madudulot ng karagdagan, amen! Salamat po ng marami sa inyong paniniwala.

    What can I say? God is really so good to all of us! Hindi pa naman totally nakaka-ahon financially speaking. Madami pa ring mga bayararin (”,) but God will find a way to see how things will go and grow. My life is full of Graces from God, I can’t thank Him enough for making it so. God bless you!
