An Evening with Tita Caridad Sanchez

White Plains, Quezon City, Monday, March 9, 2009: after paying my respects to my cousin’s wake, I told my hubby I’d like to show him my hold house at White Plains.  Lo and behold, while cruising around looking for my hold house, we saw a nice woman holding a stick (para yata sa aso), brisk-walking and I seem to recognized her - it was Tita Caridad Sanchez!  I introduced him to my hubby, we talked a lot - they conversed in Cebuano (which my hubby is a bit fluent) and she pointed us towards the right direction of my old house - now a Montessori School (how sad).  Here are our pictures!

Actually, my hubby can only speak Visayan but his 1/3 Chinese (which he can speak very good Mandarin & very little Fu Jian - yung local dialect ng mga Chinese dito sa atin), apart from the other 8 languages he can speak (Arabic, Japanese, etc.) - although sabi nga niya dahil wala na siyang practice, medio kinakalawang na daw siya. Kasama sa business eh.

His first wife (Chona) is from Cebu, coming from the Garces-dela Serna clan. Baka nga kamag-anak ko pa eh! Dahil sabi ng Daddy ko (Von Serna) noon, may “dela” ang Serna family name namin noon before they migrated to Tacloban Samar. Ewan ko! He said he needed to learn the language kasi yung mga in-laws niya ay Spanish-Visayan speaking daw. That’s the reason I got from him. But he loves to lean languages then.

    See you in Manila!
    Always,

Hi Zeth, sorry, medio we slept too late because it was a horrible day … just read my website and you’ll know. About the my hubby’s ex-wife, yes she is related to the former governor (Vicente or Ting-Ting). Her granfather is Talisay’s first mayor (Vicente Garces) - and yes, they are related to the old Bishop Gorordo, our country’s first bishop, as his mother is a cousin of the Garces. My hubby’s business is sending workers overseas so I guess it goes along with it, but of course naman, he’s lucky to have me (yabang no?)! Seriously now, I always believe in the works of the Lord, without intending to be blasphemous or being irreverently seeking to mock our Creator of course. What is done is done, and they all were put into places because of our own doings and decisions (good or bad) - the Lord simply gives us the opportunity - and this is the part when I put my belief that this opportunity would not have happened without His divine blessings.

Hi Emielou (again)! Parehong gustong-gusto kong puntahan yang lugar nyo. Yung sa cousin mo naman (Zeth) is the place where they filmed “Lord of the Rings” - gustong-gusto yan ng hubby ko. Kaso, he never goes to a place where there’s no business. Kaya hayaan mo, by the grace of God, mabibisita ko rin kayo! I heard nga na prices of houses there are no longer as they used to be. Nakakalungkot naman. Don’t worry, I’m praying now that you’ll find a job sooner. I’m about to shoot a new film with Gina Alajar and Iza Calzado called “DUKOT”. I just hope magumpisa na rin yung film namin directed by “the” Joel Lamangan (multi-awarded kasi) called “Pamiliya Sagrada”. Medio ako lang naman ang bida doon. I think they’re talking to a producer now - much serious than before. Anyway, lahat naman yan kung loloobin ni Lord!

    Always,
    Snooky!

God bless you and your family, ingat.

Tama! Ako nga … bakit ba, kahit maliit ang bahay ko ngayon (not my hubby’s but the house at the Fort where my daughters, Tita Den-Den & Uncle lives), at least it’s my own little kingdom and I’m happy for it. Ganun din, sampay dito … sampay doon. I’ve had already two (2) maids who could’nt stay long kasi nga mas magaganda at malalaki ang bahay na katabi … but that’s OK with me. Kaya naman namin talaga. Kumuha lang ako para sa mommy ko if she’s in the hospital. Besides, problema pa minsan sila … not really doing exactly what you ask the to do. I love your place! Close to Orlando!

My Dar Margie, I’m sorry if the “stygma” for always being late is still with you. God knows how much I tried to be on time, and in many ways, I was even ahead of the call time - hindi naman sa pagyayabang. Kaya lang ang nakaka-inis naman kasi, medio nakakapagod naman yung maghintay ka rin naman di ba? Anyway, I’m sorry you feel about me that way.

    Always,

Dear Ms. Serna, May God bless you always for spreading to everyone His Love for us. A sisterly word of advice- don’t mind your detractors and critics, we’ll just pray for them. Please drink hot green tea after meals, eat fruits on an empty stomach to take off toxins. I forgot u have a Spa. May u have many customers. I’ll go there by Dec. I’m fr. Tokyo,Japan

Naku Daring, late na late na talaga ang reply ko and I’m really sorry. We have already divested our interest there after my hubby heard from some Chinese customers that some ladies are giving extra services (he can speak Mandarin Chinese). Kaya we bolted out and now we’re trying overseas market which more lucrative dahil halos mga tao dito sa Pinas di nagbabayad. Hirap maningil. Pati ako naiipit sa bayarin.
