“Dad & Mom’s Family Restaurant” - Seaside (behind MOA)
Dad & Mom’s Family Restaurant, Seaside MOA, Pasay, Wednesday, March 3, 2009: after my hubby’s meeting with his very close friend (Mr. Jing Langomez - owner of JER SERVICES) and their colleagues in their core-group, they decided to have a dinner somewhere at MOA (Mall of Asia). Upon arrival there, we walked through the entire seaside portion and Pareng Jing spotted the placed owned by one of their fellow-member in the association (PARADA - short for Philippine Association of Recruitment Agencies Deploying Artists - catering to Japan), their Comadreng Balley!
Enroute to her place, we were flocked by many hecklers, and one thing I have noticed in Mareng Balley’s place, she does not allow her waiters (and other staff) to heckle for customers - besides, her staff were properly and neatly dressed pretty much like making the place close to the likes of a “fine-dining” restaurant!
After a beautiful and hefty meal, good for six (6) persons (and believe me, their prices are not really that expensive!), I took time to take pictures with her staff:

and her business partner in the restaurant (also a fellow-member of the association) …
Comadreng Balley’s cook was so great, I still remember the taste of her “Halaan Soup” - with the “halaan shell” literally melting in your mouth! The steamed lapu-lapu is not also bad, while Pareng Jing savored with an entire platter of “crab-claws”. My hubby secretly took two (2) pieces of the crab-claw, knowing that he’s even allergic to crustaceans! We also had a nice “chop-suey” and many other dishes I can’t remember now … all for less than PhP2,500.00
I asked Mareng Balley if I could spend my birthday (April 4, 2009) in this place, she said it’s alright! She was so happy, she even promised that she’ll even host the dinner party, what a lady! Now I’ve already invited my friends at media (both print & network) - that makes about 35 of them, plus some other very close friends & family! I know it’ll be a great birthday party - thanks to my new friend - comareng Balley!

Sorry ha? Oo nga, baka ma-infringement label tayo ng malaking company na “Balley” shoes, he! he! Naku naman, nakakatuwa naman ang aking bagong friend and comadre to accommodate me on my birthday (sa April 4 na po yun!). Mare ko, invited ko po ang mga press (print media & net work like GMA/ABS-CBN/TV5/UNTV) people - mga around 35 po sila - OK lang po? Siempre mga family ko (yun konti lang - walang 10) and of course mga close friends ko - sila Kuya Jing, Ate Lita Hizon, etc. - another 10? Kaya pa ba? Let me know naman kung hanggang ilan po kaya kong dalin - kasi alam mo naman, dami kong kaibigan sa showbiz, ina-alalayan ko lang - dahil ayaw kong mag-abuso sa inyo.

Okay na yung quantity na yun - hindi naman siguro sosobra doon. Me isa lang akong problema mare ko, kahapon nasa bahay ako ni Tito Chavit (Singson) ko, kinukuha kasi akong maging marketing executive para sa Boracay Hotel niya. Anyways, he asked me about my brithday (favorite pamangkin ako noon), so I told him about your offer. Bigla ba naman sinabing, “Dito kayo sa bahay ko sa Corinthians magcelebrate! Imbitahin mo silang lahat - ako bahala!” Sabi ko nga eh nagmagandang loob ka na at siempre nakakahiya naman sayo. Pero kasi ang daming tao sa harap namin, hindi ko naman ma-contra ang Tito ko (actually Ninong ko pa nga yata eh!) - hayaan mo’t aayusin ko ito - anyway, we still have like 2 weeks pa naman. Gustong-gusto ko sana sa masarap mong resto siempre - pero hirap minsan ng pamilya pag pumapel eh. Hayaan mo’t makikita ulit kami bukas (Monday) and I will surely let you know. Pacencia na comare ha? Magulo talaga minsan family ko eh - pati ikaw pinahihirapan ko. Sorry po - promise I’ll fix this - para naman di ka mapahiya.

Wow . It’s snooky serna’s Resto pala . We just ate there Kahapon . The Food is good . The service was really really nice . The Prices are reasonable .
