Old Vine Grille Restaurant, Ground-Level, Eastwood Mall, Libis, Quezon City, Wednesday, March 4, 2009: our daughter Samantha got invited by her best friend CARLO (which was also his birthday) if we could come grace the opening of his parents’ newly-opened resto (being one of the partner/owner) of the place in Libis, QC. Our pictures below tell all how we very much enjoyed the food (being brought to our tables - tirelessly and endlessly!), until we decided to go - after stuffing ourselves to the full!
A chance to meet the great Chef Mau - who prepared the wonderful menu most fitting the occassion. Grilled-pork that tastes like roast beef! So soft and mouth-watering - along with the other dishes in the menu (lamb, chicken et al) - without bothering to order since the food is really coming almost enlessly! If you want to really enjoy a fine-dining styled luch or dinner, well my hubby said that is is one of the very few places he will personally recommend. My hubby is not a good cook (not even one for that matter). But he knows food and where to find a good place once he sees one.
Then a small chat with Jenny, a friend and part-owner (who’s children are schoolmates of our Sam and Sachi). We equally brought along my hubby’s youngest daughter Hannah Beatrice, while Sam brought along her bestfriend, Mckenzie. All four (4) girls loved the place, and you could tell they enjoyed almost everything - including the main dish!
The place was jam-packed with people, I even met our fellow-Rotarian friend, RAM - tagging along his fellow-(naturalized-Filipino) Indian friend, Mr. Bhagwan Pessumal (the owner of Bhagwan water heaters).
Our young ladies really enjoyed and savored every food that was served on their table - until the desert came. But it never stopped there! My hubby saw a huge platter of Pizza being served around he told the ladies about it and off we started asking the server to leave the plate on our table - until we were finally seated.
Small world - I saw my cousin-doctor (Dra. Jover) at the opening (they were about to leave actually), so we sort of posed for a picture with her friends.
Here I am with my favorite “doctora” and part-owner of the place - flanked by her friends!
On our way back to the car, we chanced-along the place’s “WALK-OF-FAME” area where Filipino movie stars were given recognition pretty much like what they did at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood.

Dear Imelda,
Maraming ngang nakakamali na mag-sister nga lang kami eh! Joke! Of course, Sam’s pretty much my carbon-copy ika nga. Oh well, I hope she grows to be a great person. Already, as I was told by her Teacher Pong, how much leadership she shows in school, which of course makes any mother proud.
Always,
Snooky

Why thank you, Yufie! That was too kind of you not to notice that I have indeed gained a little (Oooow, a little lang daw!) weight, which I am trying to trim down before our shooting of our latest film, “Dukot” starts on April 23. It’s a beautiful film, studded by well-known celebrities and veteran artists in the movie industry! God bless you all!
