Dinner with PAMANA Executives & Directors + some honored guests

sdc10607

Sze Chuan Restaurant, Aloha Hotel, Roxas Boulevard cor. Quirino Ave., Ermita, Manila, Monday, March 2, 2009: PAMANA stands for Philippine Association Manpower Agencies to North America.  This is an organization of licensed recruitment companies (by POEA) that caters to the labor market of Canada & USA.

This meeting was initially a brain-child of H.E. Amb. Reynaldo “BOY” Parungao, our very last ambassador to Iraq.  My hubby, being a charter-member of both the association and its board, was invited into the meeting.  His Excellency was indisposed during this meeting - he was in Aklan.

In the picture above (ladies in the front-row, starting from the left) are, Ms. Bambi Mendoza (Chairperson), Ms. Melba Dayangco (Treasurer), Ms. Violy Jacob (Charter-Secretary), Ms. Lourdes Antazo (a Canadian Immigration Consultant), yours truly and Maricar, the association’s Sec-Gen.

The men standing behind us (also from left) are, a companion of Atty. Pol (didn’t get his name), Atty. Pol Sanggalang (partner of Amb. Parungao), Engr. Ernie Salting (director), a companion of USec Mendoza (didn’t get his name as well), a director (who’s name I can’t remember - can anyone recognize him please?), Mr. Ronald Ramos (director), Fr. Marco Brioschi (an Italian priest and the association spiritual adviser/director), USec Pedro Vicente Mendoza of DTI and Mr. Ding Carola (Charter-President of PAMANA).

The pleasure is mine, as always my dear (and newly-found) sister Lourdes! I’m sorry I couldn’t send you the pictures because they are so huge - our internet connection here is really getting weirder everyday! I am equally proud and thankful to God to have met someone as intelligent and high-minded as you.

    Always,
    Snooky!
