Here is what our retired employee said; ” I; Elsa E. Reamon, being the first and only employee at the time i was hired as secretary to the president of Esquire Int’l. Financing, Inc., Mr. Ashok B. Uttamchandani, have witnessed the history of the company. I was hired as a staff on Jan. 10, 1975 up to my retirement on Jan 31, 2008. At present, I am still connected with the company as one of their marketing officer in business loans on commission basis.

For more than three decades being in the company, I have seen how it started, progressed and grew. I have witnessed how the number of employees increased to meet the demand of work. I have been under five business names renewed and registered at SEC under same management. I have seen how the business expanded, establishing sister companies nationwide as well as worldwide. I have also witnessed the birth of Mr. Rajan Uttamchandani who’s now the Managing Director of the said company.

THE PRODUCT:

HISTORY:

It was in January, 1975 when the company was organized and it was under JSM ENTERPRISES wherein employee was only 1. The line of business at that time was trading and it existed until 1981. A month after, its name had changed into GOLDEN VI COMMERCIAL which engaged in trading as a wholesaler of dry goods and actively existed until 1988. Business flourished and branches opened in Tagbilaran with a trade name of TAGBILARAN FRIENDLY BAZAAR (presently known as SHARAN’S TRADING) and in Ormoc City under ORMOC FRIENDLY BAZAR as its trade name.

It was in 1988, with positive vision; the sole proprietorship became a corporation and was named as ESQUIRE INTERNATIONAL TRADING CORPORATION. In 1989, a branch was established in Hongkong. It was managed by Nank Uttamchandani under the business name SK INTERNATIONAL. The operation has expanded and now engaged with a travel agency operation under ESKAY TRAVELS.

Came 199, the company was named as ESQUIRE INTERNATIONAL CREDIT RESOURCES, INC., as financing company fully licensed under the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC ). On July 12, 2003 it was amended as ESQUIRE INTERNATIONAL FINANCING, INC. with an authorized capital stock of P11,500,000.00 and paid up the same board of Directors and Stockholders. It is a financing company that offers swift, reliable and guaranteed services. All of our clientele are treated with equal importance. With the innovations of product packages, it’s ably coping up with dynamic businesses suiting the varied needs of its clients. the company was able to perform remarkably well and succeed in capturing a potential share in the market with its prudent management and determination to be the leader in its industry. Bautista : THE theme of incest in “Sagrada Familia” is reminiscent of Mike de Leon’s classic “Kisapmata.” Snooky Serna is aware of this and she recalls that “Kisapmata” was first offered to her but she rejected it. “Nagluluka-luka-han ako that time,” she says. “Noon ‘yon, ha. Ngayon, nagbago na ako, konti lang,” she laughs.

So how did she feel after “Kisapmata” went on to win several awards? “E, di gusto kong sakalin ang sarili ko. The lead role went to Charo Santos and they’re all good in the movie. This time, sa ‘Sagrada Familia,’ I’m the one who plays the mother, played by the late Charito Solis before. But we want to make it clear that other than the theme, ibang-iba ang story ng ‘Sagrada Familia.’ Dito, as the mom, umalis ako and went to Italy at may nanligaw sa’kin dun, si Rico Barera. When I returned to Manila, nawawala ang mag-ama ko and I searched for them. That’s when I found out that Lovi is pregnant at si Emilio ang ama. For a while, I accepted the situation, but I’m not the passive type like Tita Chato kasi lumaban ako. You’d see, ibang-iba ang ending namin.”

Both Snooky and Lovi had encounters with Direk Joel for being late. Snooky in the movie “Dukot” and Lovi when “Sagrada Familia” was starting. “Hindi na naulit ‘yun,” says Cookie. “Ask him, very punctual ako this time.” “Sa akin din, isolated case lang ‘yun kasi nga wala na akong driver then, nasiraan pa ako ng car,” says Lovi.

Both Snooky and Emilio are nominated in the coming FAMAS Awards for supporting performances, Snooky for “Paupahan” and Emilio for “Walang Kawala.” They’ve both won for the same roles in other award-giving bodies.

“Sana suwertihin kami,” says Cookie. “The first time I won in the FAMAS was for best actress in ‘Koronang Itim’ in 1994.”

“I will never forget that as it’s my first movie,” says Emilio. “I was introduced in it. And now, after 15 years, we’re together again in ‘Sagrada Familia’.”

BENTE, under the direction of Mel Chionglo, is a political thriller about a hard-hitting radio commentator (Jinggoy Estrada) and his conflict with a former friend and classmate who is a suburban mayor (Emilio Garcia).

Lending their stellar presence in the film are Jinggoy Estrada, Richard Gomez (the hired-killer), Iza Calzado (wife of the hired-killer), Ms. Snooky Serna (wife of the hard-hitting radio commentator), Emilio Garcia, Ryan Eigenmann (accomplice), Aldred Gatchalian and Glaiza de Castro.

Bente is a back-to-back story about political disappearances. In the final installment of Sine Direk, Jinggoy Estrada plays the role of a radio commentator who is facing a grave threat from a town mayor and his hired assassin (played by Richard Gomez).

His story of survival runs parallel with that of a student political activist (played by Aldred Gatchalian) who is under military surveillance.

Bente is the official entry of Direk Mel Tionglo to the film series sponsored by APT Entertainment and the Directors Guild of the Philippines.

SYNOPSIS. A back to back treatment of a malaise which has shocked Philippine society for the past so many years: the mysterious disappearances and killings of Filipino journalists and activities.

The film focuses on a hard-hitting radio commentator and his conflict with a former classmate who is a suburban town mayor. The radioman’s story runs parallel to the tale of a student-activist on the run with his activist-girlfriend.

These parallel stories are interwoven with a third story, that of the former military man, now their would-be assassin. This killer’s unexpected obsession with his wife leads to a climax of murder and mayhem.

In a previous article published in PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal), scriptwriter-turned-novelist Mr. Ricky Lee explained the reason why the film was titled Bente. “Kasi kung minsan sa lipunan, ang buhay ng tao nagiging bente e. Bente pesos na lang ang nagiging buhay ng tao. Thriller siya so mabilis yung pacing.”

My 43rd Birthday at Dad & Mom’s Resto

: Beautiful gift (boquet of flowers) from Kuya Boy Abunda!

Dad & Mom’s Family Restaurant, Pasay City, Saturday, April 4, 2009: first of all, I’d really like to thank Kuya Boy (Abunda) for sending me this wonderful boquet of flowers you see here (it’s has now become a center-piece in my office). My hubby texted him relaying my message how happy and elated I was to receive such a wonderful and beautiful token from “the” Mr. Abunda. Little does he know that he’s my hubby’s idol (he! he!). Next to thank here is my newfound sister, Mareng Vally who owns the venue. I surely wish you could give it a try. It’s at Unit I-6, Sunset Strip, San Miguel by the bay, at the south-end of the famous Mall of Asia (MOA). I tell you, you’ll get your money’s worth. Everyone said the food served was great!

The day was a bit of a drag to begin with. Traffic was horrible, there’s a car-show nearby (World Trade Center), and being a Saturday, I learned that many started going home to the provinces to start their holidays, I myself was made to come late because of it - thanks to William (my hubby’s driver), we were really side-winding until we reached the venue. Of course there were news about my tummy getting into trouble - but it’s just a false alarm. I guess I was just too excited! Richard (who arrived first along with my 2 babies - Sam & Sachi) might be calling my hubby asking him why he isn’t around. Well, I could explain that plain and simple, he doesn’t like to be around the limelight of showbiz and the peering eyes of the press. He’s really a private person and would avoid both cameras or interviews as much as possible. Richard by the way helped in organizing the first batch of the crowd that came-in, along with a special good friend, Rodel.

This is Tita Beth (Ramos) holding Sachi’s hand. She’s a former neighbour at BF Homes - and her husband (Kuya Elvin) will be celebrating his birthday the day after mine!

The day will never be complete without my dear friend and business partner coming, Mr. Absy Dacer, of Fragrance of the Stars. He brought with him more than a box of give-aways, specially made for my birthday - that were distributed to all who came. Hope they all liked and enjoyed it!
