Hello! Kukie here w/my hubby (turned unlicensed-photo-journalist, tee-hee!) practically taking pictures of me from our waking hours
, till we get to the airport,
when our luggages were inspected or x-rayed by airport personnel. The line was really short and everything very organized.
Immigration personnel even got a glimpse of my passport and asked for a photo-opt
.
A nice lady approached us (forgot her name) and invited us to try their Mabuhay Lounge (a paying waiting lounge area) where we had our first meal of the day (after rushing towards the airport - we had to pay for our meals of course) and the manager and his staff (gosh! I really couldn’t remember their names!) were ever so nice
to post a picture (however uncandidly) with me. Try their club sandwich (with pimiento), it’s really good! Brought some with me on the plane.
On our way to board the plane (mind you, we were one of the last few passengers to board), I met several Filipina maids bound to Singapore
- of course, a little pict-op with them should make them happy, giving them something to remember me by. Sad that they had to work for two (2) long years just to keep their family back home live a meaningful life. I guess it’s the same to all our “New Heroes”. But what about those who made them heroes?
The plane’s food was not bad
and the crew of Malaysia Airlines were ever so nice (sad that there isn’t a Filipino/Filipina on-board). The ride to Kuala was a bit bumpy! One crew said it’s always been like it since the weather in Kuala is cloudy - and a bit raining. “Either that or it’s the monsoon season - giving the air-pocket phonomena,” interjected by my hubby during our conversation.
Upon arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, I met some of our OFWs who were on the plane
disembarking the same immediately after the tube. They are non-HSW workers who would like to take pictures of me
. Tete-a-tete ensued while we set-off to the immigration
. For every shops that we passed-by with Filipina salesladies, of course pictures were being taken - it really took us three (3) hours just to reach the immigration counter of KL! Worse, since KL airport is new, my hubby’s last trip there was last 1997, so he didn’t know that we should be riding an “aero-train” towards another building
. C’est la vie! KL airport, according to my hubby, was pretty much any other modern airports that he has been to (Taiwan, Hong Kong, Dubai, etc.) with “walk-rails” that
give your foot a good rest towards the immigration counters. Little did he know that I’ve already been to Hong Kong with my daughter, Samantha - but then again, he’s on a roll, I’d let him walk-the-talk!
We were met by my hubby’s cousin (and ninang of his Son - Ralph), and kawawang Ms. Angelina “Ate Beng” Luces. She’s
been working in Malaysia (PJ or Petaling Jaya) for almost two (2) decades now. Off we drove towards our hotel (PJ Hilton), and there we were met with my hubby’s big brother
, Mr. Lim. Of course, not having been able to eat properly on the plane (how can you grab a bite on a bumpy “roller-coaster” ride?), we had to really take a meal at the hotel. Food was not bad
, composing of English, Indian, Malay and Chinese cuisine. Our dinner was great. Got a chance to meet with my hubby’s clients (Yen Mei), et al. They are Malaysian Chinese
who are in the business of sending OFWs to Malaysia. After a short tete-a-tete, we decided to say our goodnights
since we still had to go to the embasy the next day, our appointment being at 09:00 am!

Dear Nass,
How touching naman! I’m blessed having a good fan like you - so good & so loyal! Sana naman wag kayong mag-sawa. I’ve read in one of your blogs that you’re asking me kung kailan ako babalik sa film? I just finished one a week before I left for Malaysia - entitled, “Booking”. I was told that it’ll come-out soon at the movie theaters by March 4 or 6 (can’t remember anymore the exact date). I have 2 more films to do this 2009 - one thriller and another drama. Don’t worry, keep on blogging and you’ll get to it!
Thank again my love!
God bless!

Hi Maria!
Just wondering, would anyone in New Zealand be interested in franching my products (fashion jewelries or perfumes)? I heard most white people love such things. Let me know my dear.
I’ve never been to New Zealand, but of course I heard how beautiful it is as a country. Hope and pray to God that I’ll be able to visit you there.
